About Our Organization

Infaq

Our organisation has a long history of decades as muslims moved to Melbourne to create a better life for their families.

Over the years, and as more and more Muslims came together, the United Islamic Cultural Centre of Australia Inc. was born in 1987. This became Infaq’s original and primary overarching centre, which teaches youths the power of Allah and how to live by the values of the Qu’ran and become model citizens.

In 2020, a small group of Muslims decided to create Infaq, which specialises in providing Muslims a way to fulfil their obligations by supporting fellow believers in disadvantaged countries worldwide.

Over the past 40 years, we’ve gathered a community of 5,000 supporters. We are now present in 8 countries, helping the underprivileged daily to provide an opportunity to live happy, healthy and spiritually rewarding lives.

We believe that sustainable work is locally-led. Along with implementing community-owned water projects, our local partners help facilitate comprehensive water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programming to protect everyone’s long-term health.
